IIM-K ranks among some of the best institutes in India and studying in it is an achievement that completely runs without drawing a parallel. Scoring a straight entry here takes due diligence and months of hard work, and this explains the aura that surrounds these top institutes.
If you are currently studying here, the past few weeks were indeed something to brighten your shine a little more.
Indian online gaming behemoth, PokerBaazi visited IIM-K last month to open the students to a new and more skill-centric world of online gaming. Yes, it was all about the international game of cards called Poker and it was slated with a noble mission in mind- to help you power up your gaming skills with your analytical skills.
The Fun Trip Started on October 31st, 2019
PokerBaazi hosted multiple online poker tournaments with all participating colleges and IIM-K on 31st October 2019 from 9 PM. It was slated to run until the line of participants had boiled down to 20% of the original number. These remaining players proceeded to the next round of the challenge while the others were filtered off.
Please note that players were segregated as per their respective colleges. Each team entirely comprised players from only one college and the same was supposed to continue in its pre-assigned online tournament.
The next round was based on those 20% survivors as mentioned above. They were pitted against each other in another in an online poker tournament on 3rd November at 6 PM. It was a special round in which all but nine players were only taken out, rest were again filtered off basis their performance.
Go, Goa, Gone!
On 16th November 2019, these remaining nine players were flown to PokerBaazi LIVE poker room to play the last round aboard Casino Pride 2 vessel in Goa. The players were provided with one night’s stay, air travel and airport transfers. As you’d expect, PokerBaazi LIVE found several winners in the online competition.
About Casino Pride 2: This vessel is docked in Panjim and it had recently hosted the iconic Baazi Poker Tour from 9th to 14th October 2019. The latter was centrally powered by a Main Event worth INR 2 CRORE and featured a sky-high number of participants all across.
